Our Story

The name of our fund started with a journey to Nepal. Hoping to become a better investor, I spent a week in the Neydo Tashi Choeling Monastery where I observed monks’ way of living, learned Buddhist Dharma, and became the Investor I am today.

At the temple, I found the importance of discipline and open mindedness. The monks not only studied Buddhism, but also Christianity and other disciplines. I learned that if life is a flip coin, we want to be on both side of it. Thus, I began studied not just value investing, but also growth investing, and this is where our strategy came from. I believe the optimal approach to investing is akin to Bruce Lee's approach to martial arts—it should 'flow like water' and be boundless. In simple terms, the core of value investing lies in acquiring a business for less than its true worth. I want to have all the weapons to take advantage of different market inefficiencies and conditions.

Before I left the temple, I kneeled before Buddha to make a vow that I would use all my power to become the best investor I could be and do all I can to protect my clients’ interest. I hope I could create a true partnership and a model fund where fiduciary duty is our first and foremost principle and help our clients attain their financial goals. This is why we offer one of the most investor friendly fee structures for clients and why I invest all my net worth alongside our partners.
