Vincent Lo, CFA

Chief Investment Officer & Partner

Vincent is an investor by training and a value investor at heart. Prior to founding Kathmandu Capital, he was an Equity Research Analyst at Irvine Company, where he worked alongside with five other analysts making investment decision for the long-only U.S. focused single family office. Before Irvine Company, he was an Equity Research Associate at Ladenburg Thalmann, a boutique investment bank with 100+ years of history on Wall Street. His area of coverage was cannabis and his analyst was ranked top-8% in the U.S. Vincent also had the privilege of working for First Pacific Advisors, Gobi Capital, and McKinsey & Co.

Vincent Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego. While he was in school, he was the Head of the UC San Diego Student Endowment Portfolio. Vincent is currently pursuing his MBA at Columbia University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Emmy Sobieski, CFA

Fund Advisor

Emmy is an advisor, investor, and operator.

Emmy’s 25-year career as a professional investor included co-managing the #1 fund globally (up 493% in 1999) called the Nicholas | Applegate Global Technology Fund; being one of 3 analysts at the exclusive hedge fund Palantir Capital; and being responsible for over $6 billion in technology equity investments at OppenheimerFunds (now Invesco). Her career as an institutional investor spanned firms with diverse strategies (aggressive growth to value), asset sizes (up to $220 billion AUM) and type (hedge funds, mutual funds, insurance investment companies). For multiple years of her career, Emmy worked closely for 4 billionaires.

Emmy has a BA in Economics from UC San Diego, MBA (finance) from USC, and she is a CFA® charter holder of the CFA.
